(continued from Extend / Add to Allocation)
There are two methods of making changes to quantities:
Which method is used will depend on the scope of the changes required. If relatively minor changes are required – e.g., an occasional night closed out, then method 1 would probably be easier. If wholesale changes are required, then method 2 would be appropriate.
Screen Shot 135: Edit Allocation Quantities by Cell
For the purposes of this example, the hotel has advised the allocation is a total of 4 Rooms between 24 December and 01 January, and the release period is 30 days.
The allocation will be changed so that the T1, T2 and T3 splits will still have 1 Room each, and the STANDARD split will be edited to also be 1 Room.
|
The cells in the ‘Total’ column cannot be edited – only the sub allocation cells are editable, and within those columns, only the ‘Max’ and ‘Release’ cells can be edited. The Total column values do not update until the changes have been saved. |
If the supplier had advised that the period between 24 December and 01 January was closed out completely, there are two choices of method to achieve this as well.
This button (1) is used to alter the date range, quantities, release periods, days of the week and sub allocations for an allocation.
Screen Shot 136: Edit Allocation Quantities with Alter Button
For this example, the supplier has advised that for the period 01 August – 30 September, the release period has been dropped to 7 days. For a range of changes that large, the use of the ‘Alter Days’ button is most practical. Clicking the button redisplays the ‘Insert Days’ screen.

|
When the ‘Insert Days’ screen displays, the Max and Release fields are blank. Re-enter the ‘Max’ values for the changes to the release period to be made. |
Screen Shot 138: Updated Release Period
In the above Screen Shot, the allocation Release Period has been altered to 07 Days for the period 01 June–31 August. The days of the week and number of rooms have been left unchanged.
